Why Join?

Strength in Numbers - One company has limited influence on the media, regulatory agencies, and legislatures. But when many companies speak with one voice, you command the attention of movers and shakers at the federal, state, and local levels. Acting as a unified industry, we can speak more effectively and more cost-effectively through CAGI.

Influence Your Industry and Be Kept Informed - Member companies have the opportunity to participate in the development of performance and safety standards. Members are informed of potential standards and are given an opportunity to influence standards, while non-members often struggle to stay informed of standards activity that could have a drastic impact on their businesses.

CAGI serves as the chair of US Technical Advisory Group (TAG) on compressed air systems, including air compressors, drying and filtration and pneumatic tool equipment. As the chair, CAGI and its members are able to learn about and influence international standards that affect CAGI scope products. Access to draft standards at early stages of development is a benefit that helps members adjust to potential changes before non-members.

Stay on Top of Regulatory Issues - Members are able to discuss proposals and projects that affect the industry with representatives from, for example, the Department of Energy, UL, EPA, etc. As energy efficiency efforts proliferate, CAGI helps its members stay up to date with initiatives that could harm, or help, their businesses.

Company Credibility - When you can print the CAGI logo on all your literature, you send the message to your customers that you care about the industry, product performance and professional business practices.

Access to Industry Statistics - Member companies participate in statistical programs within their section. Only members who participate in the collection of data receive compilations. The statistical data provides member companies with a tool to benchmark their company against other member companies and to be able to evaluate market trends. This data is not available anywhere else.

Access to Educational Materials - Members are able to develop educational materials that assist their employees and their customers. Members have access to the educational material to train their employees and distributors.

Save on Costs - Working as an industry, CAGI members can save thousands of dollars on research, testing, and marketing costs by pooling resources and sharing the costs of a single project that benefits many. Teamwork pays.

Advertising and Publicity Benefits - CAGI promotes the use of compressed air through the online CAGI SmartSite and a variety of other projects, including online tutorials, press releases and articles in leading trade magazines, etc.

Networking - There is no better place to learn about the latest industry developments than from peers in the industry. Exchanging views and information with competitors within CAGI is the best way to stay abreast of industry happenings.
